Pintoras Mexicanas es un colectivo creado en la red social de Facebook en febrero del 2011. El espacio virtual nació para difundir obra y semblanzas de pintoras que a lo largo de la historia del arte mexicano han sido poco visibles. Actualmente este colectivo sirve también para difundir, exponer y compartir la obra contemporánea de mujeres mexicanas que se destacan en el arte pictórico. El colectivo ha tenido exposiciones físicas en Chihuahua, Nuevo León, Jalisco, Sonora y CDMX asi como en Texas, Illinois, Nueva York e Italia.
Compuesto de artistas con una gran trayectoria, media y emergentes, actualmente el colectivo cuenta con más de 300 miembros activos, residiendo la mayoría en México, pero también con compañeras en Canadá, Italia, Francia, Alemania, España, Brasil, Australia, Arabia Saudita y Estados Unidos.
En este mes de febrero nuestro colectivo está cumpliendo una década de existencia, por tal motivo organizamos esta exhibición con el trabajo de 50 de nuestras pintoras, nos da mucho gusto compartir con ustedes nuestra celebración por nuestro decimo aniversario
Pintoras Mexicanas is a collective created on Facebook in February 2011. The virtual space was born to disseminate work and portraits of painters who had historically little visibility throughout the history of Mexican art. Currently, this group also serves to disseminate, exhibit and share the contemporary work of Mexican women who stand out in pictorial art. The collective has had physical exhibitions in Chihuahua, Nuevo León, Jalisco, Sonora and CDMX as well as in Texas, Illinois, New York and Italy.
Composed of artists with established careers and also emerging exploring different media, currently the collective has more than 300 active members, most of whom reside in Mexico, but also with colleagues in Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Australia, Saudi Arabia. and the United States. In this month of February our collective is celebrating a decade of existence, for this reason we organize this exhibition with the work of 50 of our painters, we are very happy to share with you our celebration for our tenth anniversary.
