DRAGONFLY GALLERY AND CREATIVE SPACES MISSION IS TO PROVIDE A SPACE THAT INSPIRES, PROVIDES RESOURCES, AND OFFERS OPPORTUNITY.

Our Vision

DragonFLY Gallery and Creative Spaces can be a catalyst for change. By providing youth, community members and minorities with rich art-experiences, hands-on workshops/classes, skilled-based seminars/workshops, our community will thrive again and be a cultural hub.

Core Values

Community: In order for systemic change, we believe we must work as a community for communities to address challenges and issues of under-resourced under-invested communities.

Success: We believe everyone has the capacity to succeed

Creative: At DragonFLY we inspire creativity by challenging assumptions, trying something new, pushing the boundaries, embracing unknown

Innovation: Putting new ideas into practice, encouraging experimentation and transformation of ideas

Empathy + Civic Minded: Understanding an individual’s needs is essential, and we believe it empowers people to be agents of positive change.

IT ALL STARTED WHEN…
Being a female Latinx artist, DragonFLY was founded with a deep commitment to serve under-resourced and under-invested communities. Even though Chicago is often seen as an artistic beacon there are several communities lacking quality resources, opportunities and art experiences. We are committed to offer several services and programs even though we are small.
